Help improve access to education, nutrition & sanitation in Tanzania

The Problem

Throughout the world, extreme poverty contributes to several interconnected socio-economic problems including: food insecurity, child marriage, unemployment, lack of electricity, inadequate sanitation and stunting. The Maasai experience additional hardships and lack of access to resources due to their position as indigenous peoples in Tanzania.

Our Solution

Lalafofofo-Amka Sasa’s programs operate year-round in collaboration with our rural partner communities. All programming and projects are consistent with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. Our vision is to see youth in rural Kilimanjaro rise out of extreme poverty, to grow and thrive in their communities.

In order to best respond to the immediate and enduring needs of our partner communities, our work is divided into three separate stages: year-round programs, pilot programs and construction projects.
