Amka Sasa Website Design Intern

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Work closely with Executive Director (supervisor).

  • Help develop artistic layout of the Amka Sasa website.

  • Create graphics and propose photos/videos for website.

  • Attend monthly meetings with other Lalafofofo interns and employees and take note of updates on the

    • Girls Scholarship Program;

    • Solar Lantern Initiative;

    • COVID-19 Food Relief Program;

    • and Women’s Employment Initiative.

  • Attend one-on-one meetings with program managers and fellow interns, particularly the Social Business intern on design and marketing ideas for Amka Sasa.

  • Other related activities as mutually agreed upon.

Requirements:

  • Current college student. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English)

  • Basic understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. 

  • Prior experience with some website platform (e.g. Squarespace, Wordpress, Wix) required.

  • Experience with MailChimp is a plus. 

Terms of Engagement:

  • Time of position is for the Summer 2021 (June 1st – August 13th, 2021).

  • 10 hours / week; timing flexible, work remotely.
