Rebuilding a classroom and new roof at Sanya Station school
At Sanya Station school, a public school southwest of Boma Ng’ombe, one of the most noticeable challenges was overcrowding in the classrooms. A collapsed roof in one of the classrooms was the cause, and since the school had no money to fix it, the classroom was unusable for the foreseeable future. Along with implementing a breakfast and lunch program similar to the one at the Mlima Shabaha School, Amka Sasa raised $1,500 to build a new roof, allowing the school to once again take advantage of the space.
